Set against a background where you have to accept everything it does is better, easier, faster and nicer looking than the ubiquitous Apple nonsense.

The Specs first, I wont list them all as there are way to numerous for a brief review, suffice to say “WOW”
It is larger than most phones and doesn't easily sit in the back pocket of your jeans, but it does sit nicely in the palm of your hand. Its lightening fast opening web browsers and any other applications you ask it to run.... All at the same time, true multitasking, unlike other devices.
The camera is a joy to use, focuses quickly on the subject area so selective focus is a possibility it also takes shots when you press the button with little shutter lag.
The HTC touch sense interface is smooth, quick and easy to use and enables pinch to zoom etc. For those of you who have never seen the weather demo on a HTC you will undoubtedly smile at the site of the windscreen wiper clearing your screen when it's raining on your home page.
The screen is large extremely clear and looks stunning. This device is able to play HD video and this really does demonstrate the displays capabilities. Music playback is gloriously rich and far superior with the sound enhancer enabled and my Bose headphones attached to any other MP3 player I have tried.
I have yet to find any faults with this device in the 3 weeks I have had it, even the battery life is good and I can use it all day quite happily with general web browsing emailing texting and some GPS work without going below 25% battery.
In conclusion I would heartily recommend giving this a look especially if you are looking for a well spec`ed alternative.
