Trying to forward port 8080 to a fixed IP of 192.168.1.152 on my router but it wont work.
Laptop I am testing from connected to the same router but trying to test remote connection. I have set the following up: Under Nat/Port Mapping: Type: Customization Interface: nas_0_38 Protocol: TCP/UDP Remote Host: External start port: 8080 External end port: 8080 Internal host 192.168.1.152 Internal port: 8080 Mapping name: Test I have also disabled UPnP I then type in my external ip address and the port eg: 88.109.101.11:8080 Without the port it works as I get the router so I have correct IP address. Tried with ie9 and Firefox 7. Same in both no connection with port number. Any ideas? I know the old HG532 had 'issues' but please tell me that the new HG533 will work and I am just doing something wrong? Thanks |

Hi ched,
Not all routers have the ability to loopback internal connections via port forwarding (though I have no idea on your particular router). If you'd like to test it you'll need to attempt connecting from 'outside' - you can do this using a VPN for example. (I did try the IP/port you posted, but that didn't work - not sure if that's because your setup isn't working, or if that's not the real address) |

Thanks for the info. My external IP address is not as posted. I thought it was best not to post true IP address on public forum
![]() I will try with my phone. Cheers |
