Port Forwarding - Sagemcom-FAST5364

im trying to port forward for a web server on port 80, ive opened the port in the network and directed to the correct IP, and the server is running on Ubuntu with no fire wall, yet i still cant connect externally, i can connect on the local ip but not public

@Michelle-TalkTalk has asked me to help you. You will not be able to connect to the device locally via the router's public IP address, because traffic going out to the internet & back into the router is blocked in the router. This is called NAT loopback which most TalkTalk routers block, as it is classed as it is classed as a security issue. The way around this is to connect to the device locally, using the device's own private IP address (192.168.1.x).
