I am still using the one I got about 3 years ago. I did get sent a new one 18 months ago. When I tried to set up the new one recently I could not get access. I was advised to do a reset but was frightened to do it incase I could not set it up. I was losing download speed but unplugged for 30 minutes fixed it.

I now have 2 Asus laptops different models both under 6 months old.

My attached images will show my problem.

Hi Pnokio,

So just to confirm, everything is OK at the moment, you don't need any further assistance?

So just to recap: you are currently using a Sagemcom router with up-to-date software and all is working OK?

Hi Pnokio,

The image on the left is the router that we currently supply and 174 is the latest firmware. Could I ask why you were sent the Huawei hub?

The Super router and HG numbered routers that you are showing instructions for are not appropriate for the Huawei Black, @Pnokio.

Morning,

Apologies for the confusion, what was the make and model of the router that you last received please? If you wanted to swap the Huawei Wifi hub for the Sagemcom wifi hub then we can do this but we would also send a routers returns bag so that the original router can be returned to us.

Thanks

I am at a total loss then, are you after a new router & if so what one, or is it an issue that needs fixing with your existing router?

I have had a minor issue with my current model but it was fixed by being disconnected for 30 minutes and is working well at present.

Thanks any way.

That will be the DG8041W. At one time it was not possible for TalkTalk to know which of the two makes you would get. Now it is only the Sagemcom FAST 5364, there is a 5464 (hub 2), but that is only on certain packages of future fibre with digital voice. Other than the voice component, they are identical.

However, let's put this another way, what router are you trying to get?

Replaced with what 18 months ago? It is still the current router and the one that gets the most firmware upgrades. The Huawei DG8041W is about the same age & has only ever had one update. The Eero's are only available on certain packages.

My new contract has gone live 4 days ago. I have not been contacted by TT and am still using a 3 year old Black Hub Sagemcomm.

An updated version would help a long time customer.
